On September 21 and 22, 2023, the former under-secretary-general of the United Nations and Executive Director of UNEP, Erik Solheim (Eric Solheim), President of Belt and Road Initiative International Alliance for Green Development, and Irina Bokova (Irina Bokova), former Director-General of UNESCO and senior scholar of Taihe think tank, were invited by Datong Renewable Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Datong Time") and visited the industrial base and demonstration station of Datong Time. This visit is a concrete manifestation of the further strengthening of bilateral cooperation and development following the meeting between Datong Time and Shenzhen, the Euro-Asia Center.
Mr. Shi Shenglei, chairman of Shanxi Urban Power New Energy Co., Ltd. (Datong Time parent company), made an important speech, introducing the history and culture of Datong City. This paper describes the development process of the Datong Time and the trinity development plan of "lighthouse, fertile soil, and application" and expresses that the "Datong Time" takes the Chinese traditional culture "Datong" as the guide, combined with the focus of the new energy industry, and takes "Datong" as the root. To promote the "Gende" culture, to find and cultivate "three knowledgeable" talents with "knowledge, insight, and courage," to bring Datong Time out of Shanxi, out of China, to link the world, and to make unremitting efforts for China's "3060" carbon peak and carbon neutralization goal. This speech won the joint approval and high appraisal of Mr. Solheim, Ms. Bokova, and other distinguished guests.
