Liu Yanlong pointed out that with the continuous progress of technology, the economic benefits of the energy storage industry are becoming increasingly apparent, and the application importance of the energy storage industry on the power side, power grid side, and user side is becoming increasingly prominent.
Several listed companies participated in this forum as industry leaders, such as Nandu Power Supply, Kehua Hengsheng, Kelu Electronics, Yiwei Lithium Energy, Lion Technology, etc.
The reporter learned that these companies collectively aimed at a market- energy storage on the power grid side- and the national power grid and provincial (branch) companies of the southern power grid participating in the meeting were their potentially significant customers.
The curtain of the application of energy storage on the grid side has been opened. According to the inquiry, at the beginning of this year, State Grid and Southern Power Grid simultaneously issued the "guidance on promoting the Development of Electrochemical Energy Storage" to actively guide the coordinated development of energy storage application, energy transformation, and power grid reform.
"To raise the development of energy storage to a new strategic height, this is a huge business opportunity." According to enterprise personnel attending the meeting, "The energy storage industry has just started in China, but a small number of companies have been laying out for many years, some are doing projects overseas, and some are cooperating with power grid companies to build demonstration projects to complete the first card position."
"Our main goal this year is the grid-side market, selling equipment or BOT (build-operate-transfer)." Wu Xianzhang, the chief engineer of Nandu Power Supply, said that the company has previously participated in the construction of the Henan power grid 100-megawatt battery energy storage and other demonstration projects and will continue to develop in Henan, Hunan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and other grid-side markets this year.
"Kehua has been focused on power electronics technology research and development for 31 years. Through the accumulation of technology in energy conversion, we provide integrated energy storage solutions for different customers." Lin Yi, vice president of Kehua Hengsheng, told the reporter that the market on the grid side is the main direction of the company's energy storage business.
With the strong support of the policy, the user-side market is also expected to expand further. In early March, efficient energy storage facilities were selected for the Green Industry Guidance Catalog (2019 edition) issued by the National Development and Reform Commission. At the end of March, the Management Committee of Suzhou Industrial Park announced that energy storage projects that have been put into operation on record in the park and have been put into operation, they will be subsidized according to electricity generation (discharge) for three years after the project is put into operation, with a subsidy of 0.3 yuan per kilowatt-hour of owners. It has become China's first local subsidy policy to promote the development of the energy storage industry.
